First Free Will Baptist Church
First Free Will Baptist Church
We are so glad that you have visited us here at our virtual home. You might have some more questions and we would love to answer them as you prepare for your first visit. If your question is not answered below, email us and we will promptly reply.
1. What should I wear?
There is no dress code at First. There are some who wear suits and ties or dresses. There are others that come in jeans. Please just come and you will fit right in.
2. What is the offering that you take up?
Part of our worship of God is giving back to the Lord a portion that He has given to us. This is for our church members and we do not expect you as a visitor to participate, although you are certainly welcome to do so. Our regular offerings go to help support the operation of the church.
3. Are you a part of a denomination?
First Free Will Baptist Church is a proud, voluntary member of the National Association of Free Will Baptists. We welcome all people to come and worship with us. We serve a great God who is above denominational labels. For more information about what Free Wil Baptists believe, please check out our “What We Believe” page.
4. What will I find when I visit?
You will find a loving church that cares about you and will welcome you with open arms. We are church that is not so big that you get lost in the shuffle. Rest assured we will not embarass you or point you out. When you come you will be given a worship bulletin. On the side of the bulletin is a tear off card that we would love for you to fill out so that we might have a record of your visit. Just for visiting with us we have a free gift that we would like to give you and will use the information from the card to get it to you. (Trust us, you will want the gift and we will not bombard you with junk mail or sell your information.)
5. What about my children?
Children are an important part of First! During our services we do offer special activities geared for children in our childrens ministry center. However your children are more than welcome to stay with you in service if you are more comfortable with that. First also offers a nursery service on Sundays.
6. What translation of the Bible does your church use?
There are a lot of good Bible translations available today. Our folks use many of them. Our pastor preaches from the New King James Version (NKJV) in services. We believe that the best translation of the Bible is the one that you will read.
7. How long is the service and what is it typically like?
Our services generally last for about one hour. Sunday mornings we gather together as a family to worship, pray, and listen to God's Word together. The music is an uplifting mix of hymns and praise and worship songs that compliment the message from our pastor.
8. Where should I park?
There are 3 guest spots for our first time guests right up front when you pull into the parking lot on the side of the sanctuary. There are large signs that identify these spots. There are also directional signs that will point you in the right direction.
